Pretty much like @roxas0021 I get the same problem when clicking "Shady Install". Apparently where the blue text "Info" is, there is a file location that leads to "pak01_dir.vpk". I checked my pc to the location, and the file is there. I did place everything in the correct location. Any suggestions for a fix? If you need any more information, let me know. Thank you.

To all who experienced an error with shady installer, try this, i think it's about the same but maybe different version, im using this works fine till this day

it must be placed under : SteamApps > common > dota 2 beta > game > dota
some antivirus may detecting the file as a virus, do not forget that the file is an injection file, like hack, trainers, that in some case antivirus will block it, so when it happen disable your antivirus
