found why, valve added a command called "-enable_addons" if you use it you can change icon/HUD/sounds but not models/particles/textures
so is use one or another, i tried to use both but can't be done or rather is bugged.
Volvo managed to broke their own "mod system"CITAZIONE-enable_addons Forces the engine to search for white-listed (by Valve) custom game content placed inside the game's installation directory instead of using the default game content packed inside the VPK files. Can be used in matchmaking games. Current white-list: Minimap, HUD, icons, custom cursor images, all sound directories, flash videos.

cant seem to change the default terrain, i play online and still show default terrain tho.

does this work on weather too in scripts? tried it today but dota doesnt launch at all, an error log pops out instead 
this has been a recurring problem for me using reborn mods using scripts, for some reason dota doesnt launch. however when i use reborn mods (those without scripts) i dont have any problem (i have successfully added es deep magma using this new method by shady, thanks bro!). can you give me some advice so i can have a game with weather effects? thanks!
